Friday morning we met with church leaders from across the city, to share what God has been doing in Latin America. By the grace of God the meeting ended with all the pastors in the room joining hands, and casting aside denominations to pray for their nation.

Several of the pastors in attendance had national television and radio programs under their ministry. As we prayed one by one these pastors began calling their own radio stations, asking them to broadcast our prayer live on the radio. What a joy to see leadership coming together in unity and humility!

After the pastors meeting, we were driven to a radio and television studio called Hosanna Vision, where Stephen and Dennis were interviewed live on the radio. They spoke about what God is doing in Latin America, the recent crusade last year in Honduras, and upcoming crusade in Nicaragua this summer.

Friday night Stephen and Dennis preached in the one of the largest churches in the city, and the fire of the Holy Spirit fell in that place. What a special time with the people of Panama. There were many saved and filled with the Holy Spirit!

Overall it was a wonderful trip, and we left humbled by the favor of the Lord. We look forward to what the Lord is doing in Panama. Pray that his will be done in that nation! What happened was beyond anything we could have ever accomplished on our own, it was truly for the glory of God.

For now we shift our focus back to Nicaragua Prays, and ask that you continue to keep LOLI in your prayers as we press on towards the Managua crusade in August!

For several hours these beautiful people had been praying, singing and receiving the word. So when Stephen asked, over 35,000 people still had plenty of energy to cry out that they loved Jesus!

What a wonderful night and what a wonderful Savior!!

Later today, our team met and prayed with 16 city mayors! They had gathered to discuss tourism but graciously received us to hear our heart for Nicaragua Prays.

It was such a blessing to pray for these men and women who have authority over these cities. Please continue to pray for the grace and favor of God to be released as the team meets with political leaders here in Nicaragua.

Stephen stepped out of customs and onto the stage to deliver a powerful message to the good people of Managua. Outside where the staging area was located, a young man was selling hats on the street. When the young man heard what was happening inside he came inside. The message wasn’t a salvation message, nor did it need to be, because by the end of the message the young man had accepted Christ as his Savior and Lord of his life. Already the entire preparation trip was worth it, because that single man came to know Jesus.

Later, when we pulled into the final street leading to a church Stephen spoke at that evening, we drove slowly as the streets began filling with worshippers walking purposefully to “their” church with bibles in hand and kids in tow. It was a blessed sight only eclipsed by an unsuspected moment Stephen paused and asked the people to pray. As if on cue the prayers of intercession began billowing out of the people. Soon, wave after wave of prayer was being released. It was extremely powerful and all we can say is “Praise God!”

We want to give a large “Wow!” out to God for the two amazing services Thursday night in Nicaragua. These people are hungry for the things of God.

Here’s to looking forward to the greater things God has planned for Nicaragua Ora in just a few months! Please continue praying for softened and open hearts as well as for bridges to be formed between all of the different people, organizations, leaders, government and God. All need to be connected and healed so that love and healthy relationships can begin to thrive under the humility of following God and worshipping Jesus.

The Light of Life International team has been able to meet with the Secretary of State and over 100 political and Christian leaders in the last few days. Afterward the Secretary of State came and asked for prayer from Stephen and Dennis, what an honor and privilege to pray with the political leaders of a nation!

There was also favor during the ministry to the Assemblies of God leaders in Nicaragua. Today, Stephen got to preach for one hour on the Enlace Christian television network, which broadcasts to the whole nation. Afterwards Stephen had lunch with the owner of Enlace, and was able to share more of the vision behind Nicaragua Prays.

Thank you for your powerful prayers. The Lord loves Nicaragua and His plans are good. How awesome to get to be a part of what He is doing and plans to do! Please continue to pray over the rest of the weekend the remaining meetings. How exciting that many doors have opened and such blessing is on this trip!

People from Managua and around Nicaragua are gathering the weekend of August 2-3. Can you imagine a national assembling united to pray? It is going to be a historic moment – one that will stir your heart for the nations.

We want to bless Nicaragua. We need LOTS of people to help distribute groceries, address school assemblies, speak in churches, even appear on TV and radio.

There is a hunger in Nicaragua for the Gospel and if the kickoff luncheon was any indication of things to come, then this summer could be absolutely massive. It was humbling to have the leadership of several denominations sitting at our table. Please pray for unity and humility to multiply among Christian leaders and organizations as we move forward!

We also met with the head of the national police and several other political leaders – as we are again praying for a gathering of the nation from every sector this summer. Thank you for standing with us in prayer and fasting for favor and breakthrough with Nicaragua Prays!

We didn’t get to see all the children at the orphanage because some of them had been hit with chicken pox. But the ones we did see were mostly between 3-5 years old and very eager to sing, clap, hug – and most of all, pick out their very own bear! The remaining bears went to the kids in the hospital.
In one room, we met a teenage girl who had hurt her leg – but because she had been diagnosed with Lupus, her injury was much more serious due to the high risk of infection. As we looked around the closet sized room, several hand-written Scriptures were posted on the walls including Psalm 23:1. Both the girl with the injury and her mom were vibrant Christians and precious ladies trusting Jesus for healing. We agreed with them in prayer and handed out another big, cuddly bear.

As we were ushered into the stadium we heard the sounds of prayer coming from the stage. Then, once we were seated a few hundred feet from the stage, a time of worship began. What a wonderful time of celebration in the presence of the Lord with the people of Honduras!

Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks and praise his name. – Psalm 100:4

To see all the people together in one place was encouraging. Both rich and poor, young and old, came together in unity. Even the President of Honduras was in attendance, just as he said he would be. There he stood with a smile on his face, praising the Lord! How refreshing it was to see a President with the heart of a servant.

Once worship ended the Stadium entered into a time of prayer, led by the political and spiritual leaders of the nation. Each pastor took turns praying over the people, nation, and leadership. When denominations and religious groups are together in Biblical unity, as one voice, there is power!

Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, serving as overseers-not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not greedy for money, but eager to serve; not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock. And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away. – 1 Peter 5:2-4

After the time of prayer and worship, it was time for Stephen Evans and Dennis Aplicano to bring the word of the Lord to the people of Honduras. But before he shared the message, he asked for his team to join them on the stage. This included Stephen’s wife Alisa, Dennis’s wife Tammy, William and Erin Aplicano, and Steve and Nita New.

As a sign of humility, Stephen then asked for his team to get on their knees, and for those in attendance to pray for them. As thousands stretched out their hands toward the platform, a spirit of humility feel on that place.

Stephen would later call Honduras to a renewed focus on humility and prayer, having personally just set an example of this on his knees before the crowd! A spiritual leader should set an example, not just with words, but by their actions.

The verse that rang true throughout the night was 2nd Chronicles 7:14, and Stephen spoke to each part of the verse in detail. This was the entire point of the Honduras Prays crusades. It’s not about Light of Life International, it’s not about Stephen Evans, but about Honduras humbling themselves in prayer before the Lord Almighty!

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

After the message there was a call to repentance, and an invitation to the front for the sick. Many came forward to receive prayer and a touch from the Lord. Both spiritual, physical, and emotional sickness were cast out in Jesus name!

The night brought compassion, passion, transformation, and destiny to a nation. It was a great start to the crusade meetings, and to echo the words of Stephen on the platform Friday night, the best is yet to come in Honduras!
